Dog Agility is the fastest growing dog sport in the country! Dogs and handlers must negotiate an obstacle course while racing against the clock. Agility is a great form of exercise for both dog and handler, and a fun way to bond. Choose the training level that’s right for you – if you are not sure, call us and we can help you find the right class.
This Intro to Agility class introduces dogs and their owners to the basic fundamentals of agility. You will learn targeting skills that will help your dog move towards something and away from you. Learn the fundamentals of agility obstacles and groundwork for fun, fitness and teamwork building with your dog. Dogs will be introduced to low small, contact equipment that will help build confidence.
These classes are ideal for those who just want to have a fun outlet for their dog’s energy or for those who want to continue into competition level agility.
This class is for graduates of Level II Agility, or equivalent handler/dog skills and is designed to be repeated until the dog and handler team have reached the skills to join the Masters Agility class. In addition to refining the contact and weave skills, the emphasis of this class is handling. Many of the drills and sequences are designed to help you learn the foundation handling skills that will help you more successfully help your canine partner through an agility course. This is a structured class that is perfect for the student who just wants to keep having fun with their dog or for the student who is currently preparing to compete in agility trials.
This class is an ongoing agility training program and is for dogs that have completed Level III agility, are competing, or at competition level. Focus will be on advanced drills and more complex coursework that will help fine tune your handling. Drills will comprise common sequences, contact discrimination, front and rear crosses and challenging weave entries. Many sequences are those you have seen on an agility course and you will have an opportunity to try the drill using different handling options. Now the fun really begins!
